Terms of Use

Welcome to Be Equipped. These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Wealth and Happy Future LLC ("we," "us," "our"). They govern your use of the Be Equipped mobile and web applications and this website (together, the "Service"). By downloading, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

1. The Service

Be Equipped is a cross-platform reader for discipleship and ministry-training content, available on iOS, Android, the web, and other supported platforms. We may publish our own first-party catalogs, and you may also add catalogs from independent content providers by scanning a QR code, entering a URL, or accepting an invite. Core reading is free. Certain features — such as offline downloads, premium narration voices, or split-view — may require a paid subscription. We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features of the Service at any time.

2. Eligibility & age

You must be able to form a binding contract to use the Service, and you must use it in compliance with these Terms and all applicable laws. The Service is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly permit their use of it. If you are a minor in your jurisdiction, you may use the Service only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian.

3. Your account

You can read core content without an account. Where account features are offered, a Be Equipped account is an optional app-level account with us, through beequipped.io, for Be Equipped features such as membership or syncing. It is separate from a content provider account, which is an account with an independent provider whose catalogs you connect. Creating, signing in to, or deleting one does not create, sign you in to, or delete the other. Connecting a phone, TV, or Roku device to a provider is also a separate choice from connecting it to a Be Equipped account. If you create either kind of account, you agree to provide accurate information, keep its credentials secure, and be responsible for activity under it. If you choose to enable the app's optional anonymous connection metric, you authorize the app to send the limited, non-account connection data described in our Privacy Policy. The setting is off by default and can be turned off at any time. It is not required to read, connect a content provider, or use the Service without a Be Equipped account.

4. Automatic provider sign-in

Where a content provider offers it and you turn it on, you may enable automatic provider sign-in: a feature that authorizes us to assert your verified Be Equipped account email address(es) to a content provider you've connected, so that provider can sign you in without a separate provider password. This feature is off by default; turning it on is your authorization for us to send that assertion to that provider, as needed, until you turn the feature off. The content provider remains solely responsible for its own account systems, authentication decisions, and content; we do not control, and are not responsible for, how a provider evaluates or acts on that assertion, or for any consequence of the provider signing you in.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
• Attempt to disrupt, damage, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems.
• Use the Service to distribute malware, spam, or content you don't have the right to share.
• Infringe the intellectual-property, privacy, or other rights of others.
• Upload, add, or distribute content that is unlawful, harassing, hateful, deceptive, or otherwise objectionable.
• Circumvent, or attempt to circumvent, subscription controls, access restrictions, or usage limits.
• Use automated means to scrape, harvest, or overload the Service.

6. User-provided & third-party content

We publish and are responsible for our own first-party content. Content from an independent provider is different: Be Equipped supplies the platform and reader, but is not the provider of that third-party content. When you connect a provider or add its catalog, the app fetches content from a source you choose. We do not create, control, monitor, review, verify, or endorse third-party provider content, and we are not responsible for it or for how that provider handles your information. You connect to providers at your own discretion.

If you publish or distribute a catalog for use with Be Equipped, you represent and warrant that you have all necessary rights to the content, that it is accurate and lawful, and that it complies with these Terms and applicable law. You retain ownership of content you publish; you grant us and end users the limited rights needed to display and deliver it through the Service as you have made it available.

Reporting and removal. You can report objectionable or infringing content from within the app (using the Report option on a lesson or catalog) or by emailing us. For our own content, we can correct or remove it at the source. For third-party content, we may block it from appearing through the Service, but we cannot delete it from a provider's systems or suspend an account the provider operates. We may act on reports at our discretion but are not obligated to monitor content.

7. Subscriptions & billing

Paid subscriptions are sold and billed through the platform you purchased from — the Apple App Store or Google Play — and are subject to that store's terms in addition to these Terms. Pricing, taxes, free trials, automatic renewal, and cancellation are handled by that store. Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel before the renewal date, and you manage or cancel them in your store account. Except as required by law or the applicable store's policies, payments are non-refundable. See our Support page for how to manage, cancel, or restore a subscription.

8. Intellectual property & trademark

The Service — including its software, design, text, and branding — is owned by Wealth and Happy Future LLC and its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for its intended purpose, subject to these Terms. "Be Equipped" is a trademark of Wealth and Happy Future LLC. Nothing in these Terms grants you a right to use our name, logo, or trademarks without our prior written permission. Catalog content remains the property of its respective publishers.

9. Third-party links, providers & services

The Service may link to, fetch content from, or interoperate with third-party websites, content providers, and services (including catalog publishers and app-store platforms). Each content provider is independent of Be Equipped. We don't control and aren't responsible for third-party content, products, or practices, and including a link or integration isn't an endorsement. Your provider account and your use of a third party's content or services are governed by that party's own terms and privacy practices.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law — including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any content accessed through it is accurate, complete, or suitable for your purposes. The Service is a reading tool and does not provide professional, spiritual, medical, legal, or financial advice.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Wealth and Happy Future LLC and its officers, employees, and licensors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, goodwill, or profits, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Service. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim, or USD 100.

12. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Wealth and Happy Future LLC and its officers, employees, and licensors from any claims, damages, losses, and reasonable expenses (including attorneys' fees) arising out of your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms or applicable law, or any content you publish, add, or distribute through the Service.

13. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
